The main objective of the research work is to identify new design solutions for an innovative “display system” that increases the surface area available at the point of sale (GDO) and that enhances and agrees with the characteristics of the different products of Paglieri Sell System s.p.a. With a view to identifying new scenarios in which to intervene innovatively in design, it is necessary to conduct research that identifies, first of all, the comparison between the state of the art and new social and cultural trends. The specific objective is to arrive at interpreting the current context through the reading of explicit and implicit “signals” (emerging behaviours, international panorama, consumption trends, etc.) in order to define keywords that guide the design. An analysis of the emotional/perceptive aspects of the exhibition system for the different categories of products handled by Paglieri is necessary. Particular attention will be paid to contexts of use in relation to new possible areas of application.
